PELAGIOS Provinces is an interface over a set of services implemented by PELAGIOS project.

The PELAGIOS HTTP API enables the search and browse of the PELAGIOS network of place references. They support responses in JSON/JSONP or RDF (XML and Turtle). The PELAGIOS APIs can be accessed via the following link http://pelagios.dme.ait.ac.at/api.

Further API allows the mereological query of PELAGIOS places by using the shapes of roman provinces. Roman provinces shapes have been digitised from Barrington Atlas rasters by Pedar Foss at Depauw University in 2007 within the MAGIS project and redistribute by AWMC under (cc-by).
